Corporate Support Associate
Corporate Support is an integral part of the Development Department. The program acquires underwriting, sponsorship and areas of revenue support in Broadcast, Production, PBS Learning Media, Events, Community Engagement, Trade, and Digital. The Corporate Support Associate will identify community-minded corporate sponsors and develop relationships, following through to close and administer contracts from businesses and corporations in the region. They will acquire new clients, develop and sell promotional products that conform to applicable rules and regulations on all Vermont PBS platforms and look for creative ways to develop partnerships within the corporate community that have revenue potential.
Vermont PBS is Vermont's statewide and only public television network. A member station of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), Vermont PBS’ mission is to educate, inform, entertain and inspire Vermonters to be lifelong learners engaged in their communities. The Vermont PBS signal covers Vermont, as well as bordering regions of New York, New Hampshire and southern Quebec, including Montreal. The station went on the air October 16, 1967.
Long a technology leader in the state, we were the first Vermont broadcaster to offer a digital, high definition (HD) signal. We program two HD channels that are great platforms for high quality national and local content. We also broadcast two standard definition channels that provide world news, and content for makers. In addition, we have a growing social media and web presence. Our goal is to serve the public and democracy through non-commercial media, through the vehicle of rich visual storytelling and thought-provoking and credible presentations. Our viewers range from children to older adults and reflect the population of Vermont.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation with 45 employees and revenue of approximately $6 million. We raise most of our funding from the local community. Tens of thousands of viewers and local businesses contribute to make this public television station possible.
