Guest: Roya Hakakian, Author. This non-fiction book tells the story of the murder of four Iranian dissidents in Berlin in 1992. Richly detailed, it sheds light on the court case brought against the assassins in Germany, what that case revealed about the inner workings of the Iranian regime after Ayatollah Khomeini died, and the complex political views and relationships among the Iranian diaspora today. It was named one of the best 100 books of the year by the New York Times.
