Trail Cutting / Back Country Skiing

From Outdoor Journal

Topics: Skiing

We join a team of Vermonters and some out of staters to do some prescribed cutting on National Forest land. Agencies are pairing up with back country skiers to teach them  cutting methods that are healthiest for the forests  and animal habitat. In addition to helping our forest thrive, ski enthusiasts get  a nice stash of wilderness trails when the snow comes.

We join some of the trail cutting crew on Brandon Gap to enjoy the fruits of their labor and explore some back country skiing.
