On a beautiful September evening, we sail with  the Wednesday night racing crew from the Lake Champlain Yacht Club.  Two local captains, Doug Merrill and Gerry Davis, teach us the strategies of sailboat racing from starting line position,, using “right of way” tactics, to stealing your competition's air. They clearly have a passion for the sport and we lsee why their friendly competition continues year after year.
