My OJ – Beaver Pond Brookies
Body:

One of the best places to fish for brook trout are beaver ponds. A good beaver pond can hold Vermont's favorite fish in numbers and sizes rarely seen in streams, and a hidden beaver pond teeming with plump, colorful brookies is a treasured discovery. We head out with John Mansfield and Mike Eramo, both of Grandville, VT to learn why they love fishing for beaver pond brookies.

Walleye Restoration
Body:

It wasn’t that long ago that Lake Champlain was known for its fantastic walleye fishery. Whether it was overfishing or environmental impacts, the abundance of the number one game fish diminished tremendously during the 70’s. In 1984 the Lake Champlain Walleye Association was formed by a concerned group of anglers who had one goal in mind. And that was to bring back the walleye. Together with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department the two organizations are making progress to restore the once famous walleye fishery back to its hey day.

Lakers on the fly
Body:

Lake Champlain's deep, windswept waters are loaded with lake trout. Most anglers pursue them by using downriggers to troll lures far below the surface, but every fall there’s a brief period when they congregate in huge numbers near the surface and close to shore. And for at least one die-hard fisherman, it offers a unique opportunity to catch a lunker laker by casting a fly.
